Frankincense essential oil is distilled from the resin of the Boswellia tree. Our current supply comes from Somalia, where harvesting is conducted through community-run cooperatives. These cooperatives, often family-led, distill the resin in small-scale community stills, with profits supporting education and training for women and youth. The oil is rich in alpha-pinene and incensole acetate, known for their grounding, anti-inflammatory, and meditative properties.
